What is glamping and how much does it cost in the UK?

Glamping is camping with a proper bed, a solid roof and usually heating, in a pod, hut, yurt, bell tent or cabin. In the UK most stays cost roughly £60 to £180 per night for two people, with hot tubs, sea views and school holidays at the top end. Many sites have a two-night minimum at weekends.

Types of glamping stay

Pods are small insulated timber cabins, usually with a double bed, heater and sometimes a kitchenette. Shepherd's huts are wheeled huts with a wood burner and often a private shower. Yurts and bell tents are canvas, more seasonal and great for families. Cabins and lodges are the most like a small holiday home.
