What is included in a glamping pod?

Most UK glamping pods have a double bed or bunks, a heater, electric sockets and lighting. Better pods add a private toilet and shower, a kitchenette and a decking area, sometimes with a hot tub. Basic pods share the campsite toilet block.

Basic, mid-range and ensuite pods

Basic pods are a step up from a tent, usually £45 to £70 a night. Mid-range pods add a kettle, fridge and microwave. Ensuite pods with their own shower and toilet, and often a hot tub, usually cost £90 to £180 a night.

Pods in winter

Insulated pods with electric or diesel heating are comfortable all year. Ask the owner whether the heating is on a meter and whether the site road is gritted in winter.
