If you've been Googling "campervan hire Troon" and hitting a wall of shiny websites with no phone number, I understand the frustration. We're a small family operation — you'll usually get me (Andrea) on the phone, and I'll tell you the same thing I tell everyone: come and see the van, then decide.

What campervan hire from Troon actually looks like

Troon sits in a genuinely lucky spot for motorhome touring in Scotland. Loch, glen or coast — most of what people come to Scotland for is inside a comfortable day's driving from where you'll collect the van, and we'll happily plot the first two nights for you before you set off.

Handover takes an hour, sometimes ninety minutes, and I won't rush it. You'll drive the van around our yard before you leave, set up the awning, connect the hook-up, and light the hob, so nothing on your first night is a surprise. Guests from further afield sometimes stay in a local B&B the night before and collect fresh in the morning — I'll happily book them in with someone I trust.

2026 pricing (what it costs, what's included)

Pricing for 2026 sits between £495 and £1,295 per week depending on the season. I'd rather you paid a fair price and had a brilliant trip than paid a suspicious price and spent your first night trying to work out why the heater won't come on. Everything we quote is inclusive, and the deposit is fully refundable on return.

Every hire is fully-comp insured. The excess reduction is optional and worth it if you're new to a vehicle this size — Highland roads are narrow and one clipped mirror is enough to eat the excess. It's cheap peace of mind.

Route advice for guests based near Troon

Route-wise, my honest advice for guests routing back to Troon: don't try to do the full NC500 in five days. It's a wonderful road but it punishes tight itineraries. Take a week, add two days, or shorten it — the Highlands are better savoured than sprinted. Scotland's coast has plenty of week-length loops that finish you back near home without the panic.
