If you've been Googling "campervan hire Great Yarmouth" and hitting a wall of shiny websites with no phone number, I understand the frustration. We're a small family operation — you'll usually get me (Andrea) on the phone, and I'll tell you the same thing I tell everyone: come and see the van, then decide.
What campervan hire from Great Yarmouth actually looks like
From Great Yarmouth you're set up beautifully — the A9 opens the Highlands to the north, and heading south through East of England you're on holiday-park country and coast within a couple of hours. We hand you a fully-fuelled, fully-stocked van and a route map that matches what you told us you actually want out of the week.
Handover takes an hour, sometimes ninety minutes, and I won't rush it. You'll drive the van around our yard before you leave, set up the awning, connect the hook-up, and light the hob, so nothing on your first night is a surprise. Guests from further afield sometimes stay in a local B&B the night before and collect fresh in the morning — I'll happily book them in with someone I trust.
2026 pricing (what it costs, what's included)
We publish real prices. £495 low season, £795 mid, £1,295 peak — one number covers the van, the kit, the insurance, the mileage and the handover. If someone quotes you dramatically less, ask them what's not included; it's usually bedding, gas, insurance excess reduction, and the extra hour on handover, and those four line items add up fast.
Insurance is fully-comp with a £750 standard excess. You can reduce that to zero on the day for a small daily fee, and I'd recommend it for first-time hirers — not because I expect anything to go wrong, but because a low-speed scrape on a single-track passing place shouldn't cost you your deposit and your good mood.
Route advice for guests based near Great Yarmouth
Route-wise, my honest advice for guests routing back to Great Yarmouth: don't try to do the full NC500 in five days. It's a wonderful road but it punishes tight itineraries. Take a week, add two days, or shorten it — the Highlands are better savoured than sprinted. East of England's coast has plenty of week-length loops that finish you back near home without the panic.
Hiring from Great Yarmouth works. Hundreds of families and couples have done it since we opened, and the vast majority book again. Get in touch when you're ready — the earlier in the season, the more flexibility you'll have on van choice.
