Touring Caravan Hire Glasgow | From £195/Week | Scotland | Caledonian Tourers

Touring caravan hire in Glasgow, Scotland. Site delivery or DIY tow, awnings and kit included from £195/week. Free tow-car matching.

When someone in Glasgow asks me what a week in a proper motorhome actually feels like, I usually pour a coffee and tell them the truth: it's slower, quieter, and more freeing than any hotel break they've had. We've been renting campervans and motorhomes out of Perth since 2019, and a fair chunk of our repeat customers started their first trip from close to Glasgow.

What campervan hire from Glasgow actually looks like

Glasgow sits in a genuinely lucky spot for motorhome touring in Scotland. Loch, glen or coast — most of what people come to Scotland for is inside a comfortable day's driving from where you'll collect the van, and we'll happily plot the first two nights for you before you set off.

Handover takes an hour, sometimes ninety minutes, and I won't rush it. You'll drive the van around our yard before you leave, set up the awning, connect the hook-up, and light the hob, so nothing on your first night is a surprise. Guests from further afield sometimes stay in a local B&B the night before and collect fresh in the morning — I'll happily book them in with someone I trust.

2026 pricing (what it costs, what's included)

Our 2026 price freeze runs the season out at last year's numbers — low season from £495 a week, mid-season around £795, and peak (school holidays and the Highland shoulder) £1,195 to £1,295. That's fully inclusive: bedding, kitchen kit, gas, awning, chairs and the mileage you'd actually use in a week. No fake-cheap headline followed by a £300 "cleaning fee" on the way back.

Every hire is fully-comp insured. The excess reduction is optional and worth it if you're new to a vehicle this size — Highland roads are narrow and one clipped mirror is enough to eat the excess. It's cheap peace of mind.

Route advice for guests based near Glasgow

If it's your first trip, I always suggest a shorter loop — Perthshire, Argyll and back — before you commit to a full Highland circuit. It gets you used to the van, and it means you're not doing a 200-mile day on the tail end of a tiring week. Scotland makes a first motorhome week easy in a way that the far north-west doesn't.

The easiest next step from Glasgow is a five-minute call. I'll ask a couple of questions — dates, party size, where you fancy — and tell you which van fits and whether the dates are wide open or getting tight. No pressure, no upsell, and if we can't help I'll point you to someone honest who can.
