Touring Caravan Hire Fort William | From £195/Week | Scotland | Caledonian Tourers
Touring caravan hire in Fort William, Scotland. Site delivery or DIY tow, awnings and kit included from £195/week. Free tow-car matching.
When someone in Fort William asks me what a week in a proper motorhome actually feels like, I usually pour a coffee and tell them the truth: it's slower, quieter, and more freeing than any hotel break they've had. We've been renting campervans and motorhomes out of Perth since 2019, and a fair chunk of our repeat customers started their first trip from close to Fort William.
What campervan hire from Fort William actually looks like
From Fort William you're set up beautifully — the A9 opens the Highlands to the north, and heading south through Scotland you're on holiday-park country and coast within a couple of hours. We hand you a fully-fuelled, fully-stocked van and a route map that matches what you told us you actually want out of the week.
The handover is the difference between a great week and a stressful one. We walk through the tech, the plumbing, the gas isolator, the levelling ramps, and the review-mirror blind spots. If you've never driven anything wider than a Golf, we'll take you out on a quiet loop until you're comfortable — no charge, no clock.
2026 pricing (what it costs, what's included)
We publish real prices. £495 low season, £795 mid, £1,295 peak — one number covers the van, the kit, the insurance, the mileage and the handover. If someone quotes you dramatically less, ask them what's not included; it's usually bedding, gas, insurance excess reduction, and the extra hour on handover, and those four line items add up fast.
You're covered on our fully-comp policy from the second you drive off the yard. Ask about excess-reduction if you want the excess brought down; it's an add-on rather than a hidden compulsory fee.
Route advice for guests based near Fort William
If it's your first trip, I always suggest a shorter loop — Perthshire, Argyll and back — before you commit to a full Highland circuit. It gets you used to the van, and it means you're not doing a 200-mile day on the tail end of a tiring week. Scotland makes a first motorhome week easy in a way that the far north-west doesn't.
If you're on the fence, come and see the van. Perth is a comfortable drive from Fort William and I'd rather you looked round for twenty minutes than book blind. It's the surest way to know whether motorhome touring is really for you before you commit a deposit.
